A to Z guide to Bengaluru’s lakes

For a series on Bengaluru city’s biodiversity, I pitched a story to shed light on the city’s lakes in a different form. My colleagues from Mongabay-India, Citizen Matters, and I assigned each English alphabet a word associated with the city’s lakes. I commissioned illustrator Labonie Roy to create each artwork as an alphabet card and planned the publishing layout.

Labonie used household and construction waste elements that she found in her neighbourhood in Bengaluru in every artwork.
