Surviving a heat stroke, against all odds

Simrin Sirur reported on the story of Devi Prasad Ahirwar, a 54-year-old migrant worker and security guard, one among hundreds exposed to the extreme heat in Delhi in 2024. He is also one of the few to survive a near-fatal heat stroke.

I commissioned and art-directed the illustrator Hitesh Sonar to design a cover image for the timely story within three days.
