How an electric fence on the India-Nepal border puts migratory elephants and humans at risk

Avijan Saha, a wildlife and conservation photographer from West Bengal, has been documenting elephants and other wildlife, their habitats, and their interactions with humans. For the Mongabay-India series Beyond Protected Areas, he wrote a story about an electric fence blocking elephants' annual migratory route along the India-Nepal border, along with the series editor, Sahana Ghosh.

With his archival footage, I scripted and edited a video explaining the issue and its consequences on wildlife and the people in the landscape.
